Description

Repairs Planner/Scheduler
Location: Sheffield Contract: 3 months (Fixed Term) Start Date: August 2026 Pay Rate: £13.88 per hour

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Planner/Scheduler to join a busy repairs and maintenance operation in Sheffield on a three-month contract. This role is central to the smooth running of the responsive repairs service - planning operatives' diaries, scheduling appointments, and ensuring work is delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage operatives' diaries to ensure efficient use of time and resources

  • Schedule responsive repairs and coordinate appointments with customers

  • Liaise with customers to arrange, confirm, and where necessary rearrange appointments

  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure jobs are allocated appropriately and completed on time

  • Monitor and help achieve key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Respond promptly to changes in schedules, urgent repairs, or operational issues

  • Maintain accurate records within scheduling and Microsoft Office systems

About You

  • Previous experience as a planner/scheduler, ideally within repairs, maintenance, housing, or property services

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail

  • Customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  • Confident using Microsoft Office and scheduling/works management systems

  • Able to prioritise effectively and manage competing demands
