Location: Central London
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
Pay: £14.80 per hour whilst temporary, increasing to £30,000 - £32,000 per annum upon securing the permanent position

We are currently recruiting for a Reception and Compliance Officer to join a prestigious commercial office building in Central London.

This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity, where you will initially work on a temporary basis before being offered a permanent position, subject to your performance and client approval.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced receptionist or front-of-house professional looking to take on a broader role that combines customer service, building operations, compliance, and facilities coordination within a professional office environment.

The Role

As the first point of contact for tenants, visitors, and contractors, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience while supporting the day-to-day operation of the building.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a professional and welcoming front-of-house service

  • Managing visitor sign-ins, enquiries, calls, and emails

  • Coordinating meeting room bookings and ensuring spaces are presented to a high standard

  • Handling incoming and outgoing post, parcels, and deliveries

  • Maintaining reception and communal areas to an exceptional standard

  • Supporting building security procedures and visitor management processes

  • Monitoring access control systems and maintaining accurate records

  • Liaising with cleaning, maintenance, and facilities contractors

  • Reporting maintenance issues, security concerns, and health & safety matters

  • Assisting with fire evacuations, emergency procedures, and compliance requirements

  • Providing general administrative support and maintaining building records

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a Receptionist, Front of House, Concierge, or Customer Service role

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A professional, well-presented, and proactive approach

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • The ability to multitask and work independently

  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office

Desirable

  • Experience within a commercial office or property environment

  • Knowledge of health & safety, compliance, or security procedures

  • Experience using visitor management or access control systems

What We're Looking For

We are seeking someone who is professional, reliable, approachable, and committed to delivering outstanding customer service. The successful candidate will be confident managing a busy reception environment while supporting the wider operation of the building.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please send your most up-to-date CV for consideration.

Please note: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are only able to contact candidates who have been shortlisted. If you do not hear from us within two weeks of submitting your application, please assume that your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.
