Head of Block Management

A specialist residential block management company is looking to appoint a Head of Block Management to oversee its portfolio and lead the property management team.

This is a senior role within a growing business, responsible for the overall performance of the portfolio, team development, compliance, and service delivery.

The position would suit an experienced block management professional who has previously managed teams and is comfortable combining operational management with strategic input.

The Role

Leading the property management department, ensuring developments are managed to a high standard while overseeing budgets, compliance, client relationships and team performance.

You will manage a team of Property Managers and administrators, while also remaining involved in key developments and major projects.

Responsibilities

• Managing and developing the property management team

• Overseeing a portfolio of residential freehold / leasehold developments

• Ensuring compliance across all buildings

• Reviewing service charge budgets and accounts

• Overseeing major works and Section 20 projects

• Monitoring performance, KPIs and service standards

• Acting as senior contact for key clients and directors

• Managing contractors, consultants and surveyors

• Ensuring systems and reporting are maintained

• Supporting business growth and operational improvements

The Person

• Extensive residential block management experience

• Previous experience managing a team

• Strong knowledge of leasehold legislation and compliance

• Professional qualification desirable (IRPM / TPI etc)

• Commercially aware and organised

• Confident dealing with clients and senior stakeholders
