About the Role

Are you looking to build a career in block management? As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the property management team while also managing a small portfolio under the guidance of a Senior Property Manager. This role is perfect for someone who is highly organised, proactive, and eager to develop their expertise in residential property management.

Key Responsibilities

Property Inspections & Maintenance

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of your portfolio in line with RICS Residential Code and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, document findings, and report issues to the Property Manager.
  • Liaise with contractors to arrange maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely and high-quality completion.
  • Manage reactive maintenance requests, ensuring jobs are logged correctly before instructing contractors.
  • Track and update compliance records, including risk assessments, asbestos reports, and health & safety checks.

Resident & Client Engagement

  • Organise and attend resident meetings, AGMs, and client updates.
  • Maintain regular communication with residents, providing clear updates on works, projects, and queries.
  • Coordinate monthly/quarterly newsletters, ensuring timely distribution with valuable content.
  • Ensure all emails and calls are responded to within 24 hours.
  • Keep accurate records of meetings, reports, and contracts using internal systems.

Financial & Compliance Support

  • Assist with service charge collection and arrears management.
  • Support budget management, ensuring expenses remain within approved limits.
  • Work with the Property Manager and Accounts Team to prepare realistic budgets and financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, lease terms, and industry regulations.

What We Offer:

  • Career Growth: Structured development plan, with mentoring from a Senior Property Manager.
  • Training & Qualifications: Access to an in-house training academy, with support to gain ATPI qualifications.
  • Travel Expenses: Paid travel for site visits.
  • Exposure & Experience: Hands-on role with the opportunity to develop a strong foundation in property management.

What We're Looking For:

  • Prior experience in property management or administration (desirable but not essential).
  • An interest in pursuing professional qualifications such as ATPI.
  • Strong organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & property management software (training provided if needed).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise workloads, and work under pressure.

If you're ready to take the next step in your property management career, we'd love to hear from you!
