Our client is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to join the team at a large residential development based in East London.
Hours of work:
Monday - Friday (9-5)
Duties:
- To oversee and supervise a small in-house cleaning team, ensuring high standards are maintained
- Planning of team absence management, liaising with Building and Estate Manager to assist with providing cover.
- Proving training and guidance, leading by example to cleaning team.
- To demonstrate initiative to improve efficiencies and save on costs to the business.
- To clean office and restroom areas, including countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors and sinks.
- Be responsible for cleaning equipment and consumables stock control, maintaining written records and liaising with the Estate Manager to ensure cleaning supplies are available for use at all times.
- Clean out all refuse stores and bins, ensuring surplus waste is appropriately recycled or removed.
- To inspect all common areas for lights-out, damage and cleanliness daily, inclusive of stairways, corridors, passageways, courtyards and car parks, reporting findings to the Estate Manager.
- Front entrances, inclusive of light fittings, handrails, pictures and paintwork, are to be cleaned daily.
- Sweep all hard surfaces, including within footpaths and car parking areas, daily.
- To inspect and clean all internal common area windows and surfaces, ledges, doors and skirting.
- Daily usage of an industrial vacuum cleaner, for hard floor cleaning and carpet hoovering.
- To sweep, mop, clean and polish all lifts inclusive of fixtures, fittings and brass-work.
- Use only cleaning materials which have been supplied by the Company, following Health & Safety guidelines and in accordance with received training and direction from the Estate Manager.
- Wash walls, woodwork, door panels, windows and partitions, using reach and wash equipment.
- Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture, using vacuum cleaners and equipment provided.
- To wear personal protective equipment provided at all times and ensuring equipment serviceability.
- Other cleaning tasks that could be required may include scrubbing, waxing and polishing floors, all.
- Embrace the companies vision and values and their delivery into all building services, fully integrating such vision and values and incorporating aspirations of clients and stakeholders.
- Undertake any other duty as requested by the Line Manager or acting Line Manager as might be reasonably expected or required, including assistance with ad hoc projects.
Person Specification:
- Previous experience in a similar role as a cleaner or supervisor
- Honest and Reliable
Team Player - Works well under pressure
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
