Our client is looking for an Estates Administrator to join their busy team. This role would suit a professional who is looking to grow within Block Management.
Hours: Monday - Friday (9.am to 5.30pm)
Salary: £24,000 p/a
Location: Brentford
Main responsibilities:
- To assist the Property Management (Estate) team, under the supervision of the Block Manager, with the efficient and effective management of a designated property portfolio comprising of residential and mixed use properties, to include but not limited to the following tasks:
- Follow and adhere to the Group's policies and procedures at all times.
- To prepare reports for the Board (Major Works, Property Inspections, H&S Reports, schedules of information etc.)
- Manage H&S across the designated portfolio utilising the Group's Management Information Systems (PropertyPlus, Envirotec Portal, SafeContractor) and deal with any actions arising promptly
- Put forward recommendations and obtain instructions (from Line Manager, Residential Management Executive) on matters concerning the effective management of the managed portfolio.
- To maintain good Landlord and Tenant relationships by providing a high quality service to all tenants and leaseholders of the Group.
- To assist with the supervision of the Accounts Administrator, and other staff involved in the processing of contractor invoices and purchase orders, or other roles that may come within the supervisory capabilities of the job holder.
- To work with Colleagues and external consultants to ensure that the Group's interests are preserved.
- Assist the Area Manager and Deputy Area Manager in the smooth running and maintenance of the property portfolio.
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
- An understanding of Landlord and Tenant legislation, H&S legislation, RICS and ARMA guidelines and other best practices applicable to residential and mixed use property management.
- Endeavour to remain informed of new relevant legislation and best practice guidelines.
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Good IT skills and proficient in Outlook, MS Word, Excel, Knowledge of HORIZON/ QUBE an advantage
- Good team player
- A commitment to providing high levels of service
