Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced property organisation managing a large, vibrant residential community with a diverse mix of homes, public spaces, and ongoing improvement projects. You will play a vital role in keeping a busy, multi‑building estate safe, compliant, and operating at the highest standards.

In this hands-on role, you will support the Health and Safety Manager across all areas of safety, fire compliance, and regulatory reporting. You will gain exposure to complex safety cases, high-profile remediation work, and a wide variety of operational challenges that will help you grow your skills and accelerate your career.

This is not just another compliance job. It is a chance to make a meaningful impact, help shape best practice, and become a trusted part of a collaborative team that values professionalism, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support the Health and Safety Manager on all site health and safety matters including fire, compliance, and operational risk
  • Assist with duties relating to the Building Safety Act including Mandatory Occurrence Reporting and gathering evidence for building safety documentation
  • Record and submit safety notifications within required timelines and ensure life safety system failures are properly captured
  • Monitor statutory servicing, inspections, and maintenance to help keep the estate fully compliant
  • Support audits, inspections, incident investigations, and accurate record keeping
  • Use the internal compliance system to track actions, highlight risks, and maintain up to date compliance status
  • Work closely with internal teams, safety specialists, and external authorities
  • Provide guidance to colleagues and promote a positive, safe working culture across the community

Your Requirements:

  • Experience working in health and safety or compliance within property, housing, facilities, or a similar environment
  • Understanding of safety management systems and statutory compliance principles
  • Working knowledge of fire safety and regulatory requirements
  • Confident communicating with contractors, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical information
  • Computer literate with good organisational and presentation skills
  • Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational setting
