In this hands-on role, you will support the Health and Safety Manager across all areas of safety, fire compliance, and regulatory reporting. Your Responsibilities:
- Support the Health and Safety Manager on all site health and safety matters including fire, compliance, and operational risk
- Assist with duties relating to the Building Safety Act including Mandatory Occurrence Reporting and gathering evidence for building safety documentation
- Record and submit safety notifications within required timelines and ensure life safety system failures are properly captured
- Monitor statutory servicing, inspections, and maintenance to help keep the estate fully compliant
- Support audits, inspections, incident investigations, and accurate record keeping
- Use the internal compliance system to track actions, highlight risks, and maintain up to date compliance status
- Work closely with internal teams, safety specialists, and external authorities
- Provide guidance to colleagues and promote a positive, safe working culture across the community
Your Requirements:
- Experience working in health and safety or compliance within property, housing, facilities, or a similar environment
- Understanding of safety management systems and statutory compliance principles
- Working knowledge of fire safety and regulatory requirements
- Confident communicating with contractors, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical information
- Computer literate with good organisational and presentation skills
- Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational setting
