Job Opportunity: Residential Maintenance Operative (NW7- North London)
Location: Residential Development
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Salary: £24,500 per annum
Start: ASAP- Provide a warm, courteous presence for residents, visitors, and contractors
- Monitor site access and challenge unauthorised individuals when necessary
- Log and report any maintenance issues or building defects to management
- Carry out light maintenance tasks (e.g., bulb changes, painting and decorating)
- Conduct weekly fire alarm testing and routine lighting inspections
- Ensure communal areas are tidy and free of obstructions at all times
- Manage contractor access and sign-in procedures
- Check and distribute notices, and communications as required
- Keep resident notice boards up to date and presentable
- Maintain drains, gutters, and surrounding property cleanliness
- Use a company-provided phone to respond to resident queries during working hours
Ideal Candidate:
- Presentable, professional, and customer-service focused
- Confident managing site access and dealing with residents/contractors
- Basic handyman/maintenance skills (DIY, light repairs, etc.)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Prior experience in a residential or similar caretaking role is desirable
