We are working for a dynamic property company for an Assistant Block Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our various clients, overseeing the day-to-day running of private residential developmens. A
The Role
As an Assistant Property Manager, you will undertake regular block inspections and create reports detailing observations and remedial work required. You will instruct contractors to quote for and carry out repairs and compliance tasks, and verify that work has been completed to specification and to a high standard. Additionally, you will monitor and update the asset tracker to ensure the developments' compliance with health & safety legislation, register and monitor communal insurance claims with the building insurance provider, and approve and apportion contractor invoices from service charge accounts.
You will assist in setting annual service charge budgets, and in the issuance of demands and formal notices. You will also manage supplier and creditor queries regarding payments of invoices and quotations and assist leaseholders with inquiries relating to our services and service charges. You will create and issue correspondence to residents in relation to the efficient management of the development, including nuisance warnings, lease breaches, and management requests.
The Person
The ideal candidate will be someone who is enthusiastic, proactive, and detail-oriented with excellent communication and customer service skills. You should be able to work well under pressure and be able to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously. You should also be committed to learning and developing new skills and have a positive attitude towards working with others.
The Package
This role offers a salary range of £32K to £38K per annum, based on experience, and is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will receive training and support to develop their skills and knowledge further.
