Building Safety Manager
Are you a seasoned professional in building safety management seeking a challenging role in Prime Central London? We are working on behalf of a private leasehold company actively recruiting a highly qualified individual to take on the pivotal position of Building Safety Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the safety and compliance of our prestigious property portfolio.
The Role:
As the Building Safety Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive safety measures across our Prime Central London properties. This role demands a proactive approach, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Safety Oversight: Implement and maintain robust safety protocols, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Risk Assessment: Review regular risk assessments of properties, identifying potential hazards, and recommending appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
Client Interaction: Interface directly with clients to address concerns, provide updates on safety initiatives, and maintain a positive client relationship.
Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans, coordinating with relevant authorities and ensuring the safety of occupants in the event of emergencies.
Compliance Management: Stay abreast of changes in safety regulations, updating internal policies accordingly to maintain compliance. Ensuring building met the requirements of the Building Safety Act.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to ensure a holistic approach to building safety, integrating safety measures into daily operations seamlessly.
The Person:
The role will require a practical understanding of facilities and building safety management. You will be required to manage customer engagement in the safety arrangements for the buildings that you are responsible for. You will understand, manage and update as necessary the relevant Building Safety Case, and audits working within the housing management department to ensure that safety is managed throughout the building life cycle. You will work with colleagues across teams to support the delivery of activities that are planned and carried out safely in the buildings you are responsible for.
Qualifications: Strong qualifications and a proven track record in building safety management, with a comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance and safety standards.
Autonomous Decision-Maker: Proven ability to work autonomously, make informed decisions, and take a proactive approach in handling responsibilities and solving challenges.
Client-Facing Skills: Exceptional client-facing skills with a demonstrated track record of successful client interaction and satisfaction.
Initiative: A self-starter with the ability to exercise initiative in identifying and addressing potential safety issues.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic nature of property management and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
