VERTO HR are currently seeking an experienced Caretaker to join a residential development, based close to Knightsbridge station.
- Shift Pattern: Mon-Fri - 0800-1600
- Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE
- Strong computer skills is essential
- Bilingual in both English and Arabic is desirable
Main duties include the below:
- Collect all loose rubbish from ground (front & rear), paths and porches.
- Check bin rooms and sweep as necessary.
- To walk the building various intervals during the day. Inspecting for cleanliness, repair and security and manage workload for the day.
- Oversee emails from residents, prioritise workload based on their requests.
- To be courteous and helpful to all resident as well as to residents' staff and guests and to contractors employed by the residents of the building.
- Inspect all common parts, replace light bulbs where necessary.
- Monitor car parking.
- Patrol external areas.
- Keep note in log book of all faults reported by residents and report to managing agent.
- Check carpets and vacuum as necessary, ensure entrances and staircases are clean at all times.
- Clean glass/mirrors within common areas.
- Ensure that the desk and main reception area is clean at all times.
- To check the operation of the lift and report any faults.
- Ensure passenger lifts are thoroughly cleaned.
- Clean entry phone panel.
- Water plants (where applicable).
- Visual inspection of all drains and gutters (including roof area) to ensure they are free from rubbish/debris/obstruction.
- Check locks of all communal doors and gates to ensure fully function.
- Sweep external terrace area/surround of building, including external metal work & louvers (hose/wash down where necessary).
- Ensure refused chute not blocked.
- Prepare and keep and inventory of all tools and equipment on site. To generally maintain records of supplies for the building (light bulbs, cleaning supplies, keys etc.).
- Clear footpaths and steps of snow and ice in adverse conditions.
- To be flexible and undertake duties, within reason, as required by the Managing Agents and/or the board.
- Regular testing of smoke/fire alarms, emergency lights
- Be aware of any unusual damage (e.g. Possible break-in) and report to Managing Agent immediately.
- Carry out maintenance work around the development.
- Conduct routine painting and decorating of the communal areas as directed by senior management.
- Light plumbing work as and when required.
