Objectives:
- Oversee and ensure financial control for managed properties.
- Demonstrate excellent financial knowledge and technical skills.
- Lead finance for large, complex luxury schemes for high-level clientele.
- Set up Qube for reporting on VAT and voids.
- Create cashflow and budget forecasts/projections for client reporting.
- Present and communicate effectively to clients.
- Deal with customer queries verbally and in written form to a high standard.
- Ensure the financial control of internet banking.
- Ensure all reconciliations are up to date and accurate.
- Manage the finance team and develop talent.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance department with a focus on client accounting for large, complex and luxury schemes.
- Oversee the accurate reporting of year end accounts and service charge budgets.
- Maintain excellent relationships with external accountants and auditors.
- Develop and monitor accounts team performance targets.
- Ensure clear communication with property management and administration departments.
- Lead on complex service charges, client reporting, client meetings and forecasting of service charge expenditure.
- Work with company external accountants and payroll administrators.
Duties:
- Ensure compliance with RICS Client Money Rules and proficiency with MRI Qube and Microsoft applications.
- Prepare complex service charge accounts, handle new management handovers, and provide necessary information to property managers for budget production.
- Ensure accurate nominal transfers in MRI Qube, balance client statements, and collate service charge reports.
- Manage pre-payments/accruals, expenses, year-end credits/debits, and client account reconciliations.
- Help colleagues with journals, authorize bank payments, and update tenants with rent reviews and lease information.
- Action lease assignments and terminations, create new tenancies, prepare financial reports, troubleshoot accounts, monitor cash flow, and identify savings and efficiencies.
- Improve working practices, liaise with staff, guide and train the finance team, and deal with year-end preparations, escalated queries, and budget and accounts WIP.
- Review and implement processes for service charge voids.
