Maintenance Operative - Luxury Student Accommodation

We are working with a leading Student Accommodation provider who are seeking an experienced Maintenance Operative to join the team on their flagship development based in the West End. This is a wonderful opportunity to join an ambitious, thriving and professional company with a true innovative spirit.

Hours: 5 days out of 7 (includes weekends) - 9am to 5.30pm/ 8am to 4.30pm

Salary: £33,000 pa + Annual Bonus

Duties:

• Day to day management of reactive and preventative maintenance.
• Identifying and rectifying 'odd jobs' e.g. unblocking sinks, showers, 'making good' damaged paintwork.
• Ensuring a secure, comfortable and safe environment.
• Taking pride in the appearance of the property.
• You'll be carrying out checks and building walks - logging all your observations on an iPad.
• Inspecting our communal areas; our power house - the plant room, the lifts and the corridors, residents' rooms.
• Recording and completing any follow up maintenance jobs.
• Dealing with issues or incidents and calling the emergency services when needed.
• Assisting on-site contractors to ensure completion of work and maintain health and safety procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• To work as part of the on call service, typically one in every 12 weeks providing out of hours emergency support across all developments 24/7.

Ideal candidates will have come from a similar background in either student accommodation, hotels or residential in a similar type role.

Candidates must have relevant qualifications within the Maintenance field i.e. plumbing, electrical, at City and Guilds level or higher.
