My client is looking for an experienced Building Manager with 3 - 5 years experience, to work in a luxury residential block in the heart of London. You need to have experience working with a board of directors. You will be managing a small team.
Hours: 09:00am to 17:00, Monday to Friday. You may however be required to occasionally work extra hours in case of emergencies and also attend out of hours meetings with the Managing Agent and Board of Directors. once per month.
Summary: The management of a block, assuming overall responsibility for the day to day management of the building at an operational level; this includes staffing, maintenance and repairs and services to the residents.
The Building Manager should display a courteous and helpful attitude towards the residents of the property and to their visitors at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
* To carry out property management tasks as directed by the Managing Agent.
* To assist the Managing Agent, to implement policies and procedures as agreed by the Board of Directors.
* Close cooperation is required with the Managing Agent.
* Maintain strict confidentiality of all company, stakeholder and resident matters.
Secondary responsibilities:
* Residents; to ensure the wellbeing of the residents of the residential apartments and commercial units. In addition, to see that they are quickly advised of any matters which might affect them.
* Staff; to manage on-site staff and associated employment issues with support and advice from the Managing Agents and the Board of Directors.
Skills and Attributes You should have:
* Good understanding of statutory legislation (Health and Safety, Landlord and Tenant) procedures and best practice. Experience in interpreting, advising and implementing company procedures in a consistent manner.
* Effective communication skills, both written and oral, to communicate with stakeholders, staff and residents alike.
* Ability to carry out presentations and training sessions.
* Written communication and numerical skills to produce succinct correspondence and reports to the Managing Agent and the Board of Directors
It is vital that you are comfortable with Tech. The building is very tech driven.
