Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven individualfor a Director of Service Charge Accounts role. As the Director, you will be responsible for leading a full team of approximately 60 staff members, overseeing all areas of service charge operations including onboarding, profit and loss analysis, billings, credit control, treasury, and accounts production.

The Role

  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the service charge accounts team, ensuring efficient and effective operations across all functions.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring seamless integration and adherence to established protocols.
  • Analyze profit and loss statements to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize financial performance.
  • Lead the billing process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant regulations and client agreements.
  • Establish and maintain robust credit control measures, minimizing late payments and reducing outstanding debt.
  • Manage treasury activities, including cash flow management, investment decisions, and risk mitigation.
  • Oversee the production of accurate and timely accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and other key stakeholders to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive growth and enhance client satisfaction

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong background in service charge accounting and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. They should have a proven track record of successfully managing large teams and driving operational excellence. Key qualifications and attributes include:

  • Extensive experience in service charge accounting, with a deep understanding of relevant industry regulations and best practices.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire a diverse team of professionals.
  • Excellent analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify and address challenges promptly and effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Adaptable and flexible approach, able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

The Package

  • Competitive salary: Up to £80,000 per annum.
  • Performance-based bonus: A discretionary 10% bonus based on individual and team performance.
  • Car allowance: £5,000 per year.
  • Annual leave: Starting with 27 days (25 days plus 1 for Christmas and 1 for Birthday) in addition to bank/statutory holidays.
