Our client is currently recruiting for a full time caretaker to join their team, based across two residential sites based in Rainham & Barking.
You will be expected to cover two residential sites for this position. The travel time is only around a 10 minute drive between each site and your travel will be expensed, whether you drive or use public transport.
Hours - Monday - Friday 9am until 5pm
Salary - £30,000 - £40,000( depending on experience )Duties:
- Litter picking/leaf clearance, arranging bins for bin collection and general repairs so I would like a multi-skilled/experienced individual who is able to do the role as a handyman as well as a caretaker.
- To ensure that the highest levels of customer care and service are maintained at all times.
- Deal effectively with complaints, take the correct action and remain courteous at all times.
- Ensuring the communal areas are kept clean and tidy at all times
- Maintenance and general repairs to include monitoring lighting and replacing bulbs
- Litter picking and rubbish removal
- Check and screen all visitors and guests and any contractor staff, ensuring they have permission to be present in the building.
- Report any suspicious/unusual behaviour, calling the police if necessary.
- The daily inspection of the common parts to identify repair requirements, health and safety risks and ensure service standards are being maintained.
- Immediately report Health and Safety risks to the Managing Agent and taking appropriate action in the event of an emergency.
- Recoding all faults/observations in the maintenance book and referring issues to the managing agent for resolution.
- Notify residents of any deliveries to arrange collection from the front desk.
- Maintain the upkeep of the garden areas and undertake basic gardening including weeding. Indoor upkeep of plants.
- Pro-actively deal with any maintenance and cleaning problems identified within the estate and regularly carry out site inspections to identify any problems.
- Attending to minor matters affecting the appearance of the development between service contractors' visits e.g. litter picking, localised cleaning requirements.
