Description

We are working with an innovative Student Accommodation brand, actively seeking an Exhibition Assistant to join the team based in their newly opened exhibition in the City of London. You will provide a warm welcome to visitors of the exhibition, ensure the space remains presentable and ensure guests maintain a respectful distance from historic artefacts.

Hours: 8.30am to 18.30pm

Rota: 4on 4off (full time position)

Salary: £24,000 per annum on a pro rata'd basis - 12 month fixed term contract

Start Date: Beginning of April

Duties:

  • Provide excellent customer service to all visitors.
  • Offer a friendly welcome to all guests. Register visitors, advise them on where to store their personable belongings and collect tickets as appropriate.
  • Provide key information to visitors and signpost guests to further information
  • Act as an ambassador of the company with customers, role modelling company values, personal presentation, politeness and professionalism at all times.
  • Respectful of people's privacy and personal information - we will train you on all aspects of GDPR.
  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the exhibition space - escalating any issues and concerns to the urbanest Operations teams where required.
  • Clean the exhibition space to maintain the excellent appearance of the area - polishing handrails and dusting the exhibition information stations.
  • Collaborate with the on-site café team to ensure safe access of visitors, staff and contractors.
  • Protect the artefacts by ensuring the guests maintain a respectful distance from the wall and other historic pieces on display.
  • Deal with issues or incidents and calling the emergency services when needed.
  • Understand the importance of Health & Safety and Fire Safety in all that you do and report anything that is not safe.
