Community Manager - North West London
Serviced Office. Flexible Workspace. Coworking. Business Centre Management. Customer-Facing. Creative.
Salary: £30,000
Working Days: Monday to Friday, 40 hrs/week
Location: Camden, North West London
Our client hosts this space for young entrepreneurs and independent contractors in the creative industries to work, learn, and connect. They aim to develop young talent and help them in pursuing sustainable careers in the creative industries by providing workspaces and custom event programming.
This role's primary goal is to establish and manage a community of members, which also involves making sure that the workplace is safe, inclusive, and friendly. This position will be in charge of overseeing the workspace's day-to-day operations as well as managing the member experience, fostering collaboration, assuring member retention, and creating an alumni network of all members who use the facility.Main Responisibilities:
Membership Management:
- Manage new membership inquiries from the initial point of contact through their visit to the facility and eventual contract signing, making sure that thorough data on potential membership leads is kept in the system
- Encourage member interaction and facilitate introductions among members and among members of the wider network to foster a collaborative atmosphere
- Organize weekly and monthly member-only social and wellness events
Operations
- Lead the team as a whole to provide members with an efficient quality service
- Assist the Accounts department in pursuing unpaid invoices to ensure that payments for membership, meeting space, and studio reservations are handled and made on time
- Oversee member reservations for the studio and meeting space
- Ensure that all member operational complaints and inquiries are handled to a high standard by resolving day-to-day operational concerns with the assistance of the Roundhouse onsite Facilities Team
Person Specification:
- Knowledge and understanding of the creative industries and the roles within it, particularly creative entrepreneurship and freelancing
- Experience managing a coworking space/workspace and engaging and building communities, preferably in the creative industries
- Experience facilitating events and workshops with young people aged 18 to 30
- Experience in establishing pathways for young people into jobs within the creative industries
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to plan and prioritise workload
- Ability to monitor expenditure, keep budgets and provide budgetary information
