Maintenance Operative, Luxury Residential

My client is currently looking for an experience Maintenance Operative to join their team at a Luxury Residential Development in East London.

Role: Maintenance Operative

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm

Location: E16

Salary: £30,000 pa

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, operatives will undertake all maintenance tasks in collaboration with the team and external contractors.

Operatives should:

• Have a sound knowledge in common maintenance - proficiency in electrics, plumbing, decorating and carpentry is useful
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures, regulations and assessments. Relevant qualifications and certifications highly beneficial
• Familiar with Building systems
• Positive and proactive, working efficiently
• Good communication skills, both verbally and written. Competent with computers

Duties may include:

• General maintenance support
• Supervising third party contractors, issuing permits when requited
• Report defects and incidents on site (observed or reported) and take corrective action as advised by the Development Manager
• Weekly/Monthly/Cyclical checks including fire alarm, emergency lighting and smoke alarm testing
• Bin movement and managing the refuse chute areas
• Light checks and replacement
• Decorating and Painting repair work
• Minor internal and exterior repairs
• Pressure washing communal areas

Experience in a residential role or similar is preferred
