Centre Manager - Operations and Customer Experience

We are now hiring a permanent full-time Building & Centre Manager in Chesterfield due to their continuous success and development.
You will answer to the Asset & Operations Manager once you join the team as the Building and Centre Manager. The primary goals of the position are maintaining a high level of office occupancy, providing excellent customer service, retaining clients, and expanding through sales and negotiation while promoting prospects. As instructed by the Head of Facilities Management and the Asset Management team, you will perform a building management function that is essential to assisting the landlord and their tenants.
You will be in charge of overseeing the daily operations of the business centre in accordance with legal requirements, health and safety standards, and best practises. You will assign tasks for team members to complete on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, including general administration and client support, and you'll cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Facilities Management group to help give a superior level of service throughout the whole building.
Responsibilities:
Sales and Marketing
- Management of prospect CRM from initial enquiry to viewing, conversion to client
- Arranging and facilitating prospect viewings of building, office space, meeting rooms and common areas
- Negotiation and closing sales for occupation and/or ancillary services and products
- Develop and deliver sales strategies, forecasting and setting sales/occupancy deliverable targets across all aspects of the building.
- P&L responsibility with increasing EBITDA.
Team Management
- Manage any future business centre team and liaise with Head Office departments
Customer Service
- Involvement in client move in / out procedures and completion of associated paperwork
- Ensure preparation and maintenance of all client files / records
- Handling client enquiries and acting in a timely fashion
- Ensuring reception and all communal areas are welcoming, clean and tidy, safe and professional at all times
Maintaining Standards
- Ensure all security procedures are always maintained
- Liaise with maintenance support providers regarding any building maintenance issues
- Implement and adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Act as a link between the landlord and clients
Building Management
- Daily building façade check and report all defects and make safe any issues
- Manage the daily security of the building, conducting audits and inspections of the security service
- Conduct SAL / KPI inspections and audits of the cleaning service to the building
- Undertake and relay building metered services figures
- Conduct weekly fire alarm/intruder alarm checks on all sub systems within the landlords and tenanted areas and record results
Finance
- Liaise with financial controller for matters relevant to payments
- Formally review debtors and maintain effectiveness of cash collection procedures
- In liaison with financial controller, escalating payments from clients in line with procedure
- Purchasing and budgetary control
Competencies for the role:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Able to work with little supervision and on own initiative
- Ability to delegate and monitor responsibilities
- Ability to conduct sales/viewing tour, negotiate and close sales for new prospects/occupants
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the serviced office/property sector
- Minimum of 1 year experience managing a commercial property (desirable not essential)
- Minimum of 2 years people management experience
- Demonstrable sales experience
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary - £35,000 p.a. + uncapped commission
- Hours - 9.00 a.m. - 5.30 p.m. (Mon - Fri)
