Our client is currently seeking an experienced Porter to join the team at small luxury residential apartment building in Southwest London.
Day/Hours
Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
Saturdays 8am - 12pm (on alternative Saturdays)

Job Description
1. To carry out the cleaning of the common parts of the property, to include landings, corridors, lifts and roadways to the building.
2. To ensure that all entrances within the building are kept clear of obstruction.
3. To replace light bulbs and check the timer switches serving the communal lighting in order to ensure that they function correctly.
4. To ensure that the courtyard gardens are kept tidy and to ensure that all litter is removed from the same. To also ensure that all plants, beds and flower boxes are kept properly watered, particularly during the summer months.
5. To ensure, via the Managing Agents, that sufficient cleaning supplies and materials are kept in stock to enable you to carry out your duties within White House. To notify the Managing Agents accordingly when such supplies need to be replenished, in order that supplies can be ordered and delivered.
6. To give attention to all gullies and drains to ensure that no blockages occur.
7. To assist all contractors employed at the property as and when necessary.
8. To provide general assistance to tradesmen delivering goods to individual apartments. To also advise managing agents of any damage that is caused to the Landlord's property by any contractor or tradesman.
9. To ensure that all fire precautions are in operation and to ensure that all appliances are in working order. To report immediately to the managing agents where fire extinguishers are missing, non-functioning or have been tampered with.
10. To ensure that a periodic check is made to the lift emergency bells/alarms to ensure their correct operation. In the event of a lift failure, all steps must be taken to ensure the release of the person(s) trapped therein.
11. To ensure the smooth disposal of all refuse from the Estate and to ensure that access is available to local authority collectors. 12. To wash down all of the communal staircases and balconies on a regular basis to ensure that the stairs and floor surfaces remain clean and tidy.
13. To assist wherever possible with any enquiries or problems raised by residents and to attempt to deal with such problems or enquiries in a proactive manner.
14. To assist and work with other members of staff employed by Battersea Village Limited to ensure that a professional and efficient service is provided across the Estate as a whole.
15. To carry out any other duties relating to the Estate as and when directed by the Managing Agents
