We are working with a traditional residential block situated in Chelsea, SW3 who are seeking an experienced Day Porter to oversee the day to day running of the block.
The hours of work are 1pm to 7pm Monday to Friday and then 7am to 7pm on either Saturday or Sunday as the weekend is done on rotation between the two staff members.
Salary: £26,500 per annum
Duties:
- You will be the first point of contact for residents and visitors to the building and it is therefore imperative that you provide an efficient and courteous service to all residents and visitors.
- You are required to man the front entrance desk, dealing with all telephone calls, and ensure that all persons are monitored both in and out of the main entrance.
- Other than manning the main desk, you should regularly patrol both the interior and exterior of the boundaries of the property, inclusive of the garage and gardens, checking all fire doors are shut and reporting any damage to the common parts, exterior and garage to the Managing Agent for actioning.
- You should also check that all perimeter and external doors are securely fastened and clear up any refuse/litter dropped either in the common parts or within the perimeter.
- You should check the fire alarm system on both sides of the building to ensure it is working currently with no faults. Where a fault is identified this should immediately be reported to the Managing Agent. When a false alarm has been identified you should reset the alarm accordingly..
- You should check all common parts lights to ensure that they are working and arrange for replacement bulbs as necessary.
- You may be responsible for parcels, packages and recorded delivery letters sent to residents and for ensuring that residents are notified of such deliveries and that arrangements can be made for delivery/collection.
