Our client is seeking an experienced concierge to join the team at a mixed-use development based in East London.
Hours of work:
2 days on 2 days off (7am-7pm)
Main duties:
- Deliver excellent customer service to all, adopting a 'nothing is too much' attitude at all times.
- Greet all in a professional and courteous manner in accordance with the company standards, proactively anticipating guests/resident's needs, demonstrating a 'can do' attitude at all times.
- Aid and engage with all guests/residents and colleagues within the premises
- Always act as an ambassador for the company.
- Ability to multi-task, effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and timely manner.
- Ensure all guests/residents receive a full concierge service throughout their stay at The Hotel & the development making all required arrangements.
- Assist and support all guests/residents by quickly responding to lifestyle requests for services such as scheduling cleaning, organising transportation or booking hotels, restaurants, flights and event tickets.
- To be able to provide an alternative to guests including day activities and tickets for any attractions
- To have a full understanding of the local area including restaurants, attractions and social events.
- To be fully aware of all restaurant reservations for guests/residents and to provide suggestions within and outside the hotel for any requests.
- To be fully aware of all guest facilities, including opening times, offerings and events.
- Assist guests/residents with Valet Parking and safe storage of car keys.
- Process luggage and delivery requests accurately and be responsible of the safekeeping of items left in the care of the company.
- Receive, secure and distribute all guests/residents post and packages efficiently.
- Verify all visitors, suppliers and contractors - issue security passes, accompany as necessary.
- Maintain a secure and safe environment for all residents by undertaking guest verification, securing elevator access, conducting security checks throughout the building and undertaking period review of CCTV system.
- Carry out regular building checks and log/report any maintenance that is required through the correct channels.
- Adhere to health and safety, fire and bomb threat procedures. Plus, report anything which causes concern to staff or clients to the appropriate authority.
- Understand and be aware of your Departmental Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to these at all times.
- Keep all storage areas locked, clean, and tidy at all times.
- Ensure the public areas are always kept immaculate and maintain a good housekeeping of staff areas, back of house, including cloakrooms and outside areas.
- To be the eyes and ears of the building, reporting any incidents, problems or complaints to the appropriate manager in a timely manner.
- Dealing with guests/residents' concerns or complaints, to include a follow up in person or in writing
- Create and prepare standard letters, circulars and other correspondence using Microsoft Office applications, portal and Property Management Systems.
- Complete the am/pm/overnight operational reports and handover and report any operational issues.
- Liaise with all departments and communicate any special requirements of individual guests/residents.
- Assist with Move In's/Move Out's.
- Deputize Lettings Team during out of hours and assist guests with sales enquiries and viewings
- Work to a rota set by your head of department, which is in accordance to the demands of the business that might include weekends, bank holidays and night shift.
- Attend meetings, appraisals, and training as required.
The person:
- Luxury/ lifestyle hospitality background.
- Experience in a hotel concierge desk.
- Residential concierge.
- Extensive knowledge of London, its attractions, venues, infrastructure etc.
- Broad knowledge of UK towns and tourist attractions.
- Reliable and timekeeping.
- Drive to achieve.
- Fun, friendly and out-going personality.
- Ability to create professional relationships externally and internally with guests, residents, and colleagues
