Resident (Live-In) Porter - Islington, London N1

Luxury residential building in Islington currently seeking an experienced live-in porter!

The working hours will be Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm & Saturdays: 8am-12pm

Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Act at all times in a friendly and personable, yet professional manner
- Professional and courteous to all residents, responding to queries in a professional and timely manner
- Show enthusiasm, be well presented and have great communication skills

Internal management of the building:
- Collect all rubbish and take to refuse area for collection by council refuse department
- Vacuum clean all carpets and entrance mats
- Dusting and cleaning glass of all communal windows and doors

External management of the building:
- Sweeping down and cleaning, with hot water, all rear staircases and landings, maintaining free of stains
- Sweep up all leaves and other rubbish from all external areas
- Clean and disinfect rubbish chutes to prevent odours and maintain hygiene

Generally:
- Check answering machine at frequent intervals during the day for messages
- Ensure all entrance doors and gates are shut and locked
- Periodically during each day tour the entire building to deter intruders and report any suspicious behaviour to the police

Please note that you MUST have previous residential or hospitality experience for this position.
