Estate Manager - East Village, Stratford

Salary: £50,000 + bonus
Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
Contract: Full-time, site-based
Location: East Village, Stratford (former London 2012 Olympic Village)

We're recruiting an Estate Manager for one of London's most recognisable and well-managed residential neighbourhoods: East Village, Stratford. This is a hands-on role overseeing a large multi-block estate, ensuring high standards of safety, presentation and service delivery across buildings, landscaped areas and public spaces.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Ensure all areas of the estate are safe, clean, compliant and well-presented

  • Lead regular site inspections, audits and proactive issue resolution

  • Oversee obligations across plots, blocks and estate-wide operations

Team Leadership

  • Manage the Building Manager and on-site operatives

  • Lead on recruitment, rotas, performance management, welfare and disciplinaries

  • Create a positive, proactive and solution-focused team culture

Health & Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain full compliance with building safety regulations and internal policies

  • Oversee FRA actions, H&S inspections, plant room checks and emergency procedures

  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning

Contractor & Supplier Management

  • Procure, brief and supervise contractors across all services

  • Monitor KPIs, quality of work and service performance

  • Manage quotations, procurement and contract delivery standards

Budgeting & Financial Oversight

  • Monitor operational budgets and control expenditure

  • Support monthly budget reviews and financial reporting

  • Ensure value for money across estate operations

Resident & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Respond to resident queries and manage complex situations professionally

  • Provide updates to internal teams, partners and senior stakeholders

  • Build strong, collaborative working relationships across the estate community


About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in managing large or complex residential estates (3+ years)

  • Confident managing teams, contractors and service delivery on busy sites

  • Strong on compliance, building safety and health & safety processes

  • Skilled in budgeting, reporting and operational planning

  • Calm, diplomatic and effective when dealing with residents and stakeholders

  • Comfortable in a hands-on, practical and fast-paced environment

  • Able to participate in an on-call rota as required
