Our client is currently looking for a Maintenance Operative to join their team in East London.
The position is based on a residential development, working in a team and reporting into the on-site Maintenance Manager.
Rota: Monday - Friday
Hours: 9-hour varying shifts between 8am - 7pm
Location: East London
Salary: £30-33,000pa (DOE)
Main Responsibilities:
- Routine upkeep and building checks on a weekly and monthly basis as required.
- Working alongside external contractors, ensuring accurate permits issued and that work is carried out to a high standard.
- Reactive maintenance work for defects and incidents reported by residents or the other maintenance staff, completed efficiently and to a high specification.
- Tasks may include but are not limited to: painting and decorating, changing bulbs, refuse upkeep, minor repairs, pressure washing, dealing with leaks and other remedial tasks.
- Risk assessments and testing for fire, water, ventilation and plant rooms.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience working at another residential site or similar setting
- Electrical or Plumbing bias, City & Guilds qualifications or similar are highly beneficial
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety
- Working knowledge of Outlook & Microsoft Office
- Reliable and professional manner
