Description

Our client is looking for a Weekend Loading Bay Operative to work at a Luxury Mixed Use Residential scheme in the City of London.

Working Hours: Saturday's and Sunday's, 8am - 5pm

Duties:

  • Work as part of a team overseeing the day-to-day operations of our loading bay facility.
  • The team would be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient loading and unloading of goods and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • The role will be a busy and interactive one, ensuring the smooth arrival and delivery of items to site, as well as storage, collection and wide ranging communication for the same.
  • Our Loading Bay Team with form part of the high energy focused team on site, and report directly to the Development Manager regarding all operational matters.
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of goods at the loading bay facility.
  • Ensure that you undertake all necessary training and maintain training levels to a high standard, follow all safe working practices.
  • Develop and implement loading bay policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency, as a team.
  • Monitor and analyse loading bay performance metrics, such as loading times, and implement strategies to improve performance.
  • Work closely with other departments, under the direction of the building/development manager, such as transportation and logistics, to ensure the smooth flow of goods through the loading bay facility.
  • Ensure that all customer orders are fulfilled on time and to a high standard.
  • Manage the maintenance of loading bay equipment, such as loading docks and forklifts.
  • Ensure that the loading bay facility is always kept clean and well-organised.
  • Manage inventory levels of packaging materials, and other supplies needed for the loading and unloading process.
  • Report on loading bay operations to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of loading bay equipment and procedures.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a loading bay environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software application
