Temporary Furniture Removal/ Porters - Residential

We are working with a leading Student Accommodation provider who are seeking temporary Furniture Removal workers/ Porters to assist during peak season. You will be a core part of ensuring that apartments are ready for move-ins on site by clearing or helping to set up furniture in rooms.

This would be a temporary role, we will have shifts available from the start of August to September, 1-2 months worth of work. *There may be heavy lifting from time to time so you must be physically fit for this role*

Start Date: First week of August for around 4-6 weeks

Hours: 8-9 hour shifts, typically commencing from 8am or 9am

Locations: Central London, the client oversees various buildings across London so you would be working across 7-8 buildings.

Hourly rate: £10.50 ph + Holiday Pay

Duties:

• Safely packaging items before removal or storage
• Carrying/ lifiting furniture to move around the property.
• Taking apart larger items of furniture for packing and removal.
• Taking down curtains and lifting carpets if needed.
• Moving furniture to various apartments.
• Cleaning apartments after furniture removal to ensure they are left in a good state for new tenants.
• Taking old furniture down to waste chutes and disposing with care.
• Removing doors, door frames or windows to get large pieces of furniture in or out of a building
• Reassembling large items and placing them where the client needs them.
• Unwrapping furniture and unpacking cartons.
