Full time (4 days a week would be considered for the right candidate)

This role is based from one of the UK’s leading innovation hubs. It is home to an excellent accelerator programme and a coworking community of exciting startups (our ‘members’). Our client has helped businesses build everything from next generation service robots to devices that help relieve chronic eczema to new sustainable construction materials made from potato waste.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To provide wide-ranging support to the Programme Manager in delivering the startup and scaleup programmes. The role will provide administrative and programme delivery support whilst maintaining a high quality of service for our community. 
 
MAIN DUTIES:
Key responsibilities include:
Operational management
  • Supporting the Programme Manager to deliver the programmes from start to finish - scouting and recruitment, onboarding, day-today operations for in-person and online workshops, mentor sessions, events, feedback and evaluation
  • Scheduling and calendar management of the Accelerator to ensure smooth coordination of workshops, mentor sessions, talks and events
  • Owning project administration and maintaining CRM systems to collect and track information, agreements, feedback, contact databases, etc
  • Establishing a feedback process to ensure satisfaction with the workspace and the programme
Events support
  • Coordination of key events including accelerator days, pitch days, investor days
  • Supporting the Marketing Manager in the lead up to key events to help amplify the startup stories and awareness of programmes
Customer experience
  • Being the first-port-of-call for startups and mentors, dealing with any arising challenges quickly with customer experience at heart
  • Generating ideas to improve quality and efficiency of programmes
  • Identify gaps in our network of subject matter experts and work with the Programme Manager to develop new partnerships and grow our mentor community
  • To liaise with the Community Manager and Workshop Manager on any issues relating to the workspace
 
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:
  • A passion for innovation and supporting start ups
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently 
  • Experience using a CRM system to manage and progress leads
  • Comfortable working in a matrix style organisation 
  • Ability to work with and engage various levels of stakeholders
  • Ability to think creatively and use initiative to get the job done
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to be flexible and reprioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with start-ups and SMEs 
  • Experience using Microsoft 356 (including Teams and SharePoint)
  • Previous experience working in a co-working space or an innovation hub desirable
  • Has career aspirations to progress into a Programme Manager role in the future
