Assistant Manager - Flexible Workspace Management
Serviced Office. Coworking. Flexible Office. Business Centre. Community Lead. Operations Manager. Deputy Manager.
Type: Permanent, Full time
Location: Central/East London
Salary: £30,000 to £32,000 Plus 15% Bonus
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 8 Hour Shifts Between 7am and 7pm
Team: General Manager, Assistant Manager, 3 Hosts, 3 Cleaners
Our client creates beautiful, flexible workspaces that provide hotel-style hospitality and members' club-like service. They've taken the best of serviced offices, coworking, high end hotels and hospitality, plus a splash of design agency and architectural practice.
In partnership with the best hospitality school in the world, the team are trained to provide highly professional support and build relationships with members. They want members to feel as though their client are part of their team, and that they are contributing to the development of their own working environment. The Assistant Manager is responsible for all aspects of assisting the managing of the site and the experience of members.
Front of House Operations
- Responsible for the efficient day to day Front oh House operations and Concierge team
- Ensure that the environmental of the unit i.e., lights, music, temperature, and ambience is appropriate to different factors
- To have extensive understanding of all FOH procedures as well as IT systems used to manage different aspects of the building
- Evaluate staff performance and identify hiring and training needs
- Deputize in the General Manager's absence
Building Operations & Maintenance
- Manage and support the housekeeping teams to make sure all areas of the building is kept at high standard
- Assist the General Manager with building operations and maintenance to ensure highest level of customer experience and deputise in their absense
- Conduct "building wellness" walkthroughs and actively communicate any issues
- Maintain security by following health and safety procedures in place
Finance and Administration
- To assist the General Manager with invoices related to the building and clients
- Maintaining a close contact with the Accounts Department
Residents and Culture
- Developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships with colleagues and residents
- Conduct viewings with potential residents and assist the Sales team with sales process
- Deal with Residents daily in a prompt and professional manner, assisting them by providing services and advice
- Induct new Residents and ensure compliance with Fora policies and procedures
- Assist the General Manager with Residents off-boarding process
- Ensure that all complaints are handled effectively and efficiently and are reported to the General Manager
- Continuous learning and development with regards to products and co-working industry in general
Human Resources
- Assist the General Manager in recruiting & inducting new members of staff
- Conduct regular appraisals of all site staff
- Induct new staff and monitor progress over their probation period
Miscellaneous
- Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, uniform, body language
- Attends meetings and training required
- Ensure good communication with all staff by holding regular staff meetings to update on issues, upcoming events, and any news for the coming weeks
Skills & Requirements
- 2+ years' experience in the hospitality, retail or co-working industry
- Highly refined verbal and writing communication skills
- Good organisation skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner
- Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Individual with enviable customer service skills
- Professional integrity, trustworthy
