Day Porter - West End

Our client manages a high end residential development in the heart of the West End, they are actively seeking an experienced Porter to provide 5* customer service to the residents. It is the duty of the porter to ensure the smooth running of the building. The aim is to provide a comfortable and secure living environment for residents with the focus of staff being the security of the building and residents.

We are looking for someone mature with experience in the role, you will be courteous, alert, and willing to assist residents, guests, visitors and fellow employees at all times.

Hours: 8am to 6pm, Tuesday - Saturday

Salary: £26,000 p/a

Duties:

• As Porter, the security of the building and the safety of the residents are of the utmost importance.
• It is the responsibility of the Porter to ensure that each individual familiarises him/herself with the fire and security equipment and is fully aware of evacuation and emergency procedures.
• The Porter should know all residents by sight so that strangers can be identified.
• When on the front desk, answer the reception telephone, receive deliveries and deal with general enquiries.
• Assist residents at all times together with their guests and visitors when and where required.
• To patrol the premises comprehensively at different times but at least once an hour during your hours of duty.
• Check and deal with any matters reported by the residents. Advise the Managing Agents as appropriate
• Advise contractors of restrictions on working hours in the buildings and other code of conduct matters as appropriate.
• Notify Managing Agents of any works being carried out within individual flats which may require a Licence for Alteration.
