JOB SPECIFICATION

Asset Manager - Full Time

Location: REMOTE, England (Central / South / Greater London) - majority of time on the road, with fortnightly attendance required at the North London office

Salary: In the region of £50,000 per annum, plus discretionary bonus. All expenses paid

About the Role

Our client is an established, family-owned property investment and management company. This role will support the business in asset managing a portfolio of 100 buildings across England, with concentrations in Greater London, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Leeds and Sunderland, and Yorkshire.

The key focus of the role is to research and develop opportunities with potential customers, primarily commercial, who may wish to use parking, storage, telecoms, energy, advertising and other facilities and services that exist or may be developed at the company's sites, in order to generate income.

This is not a day-to-day property management role and does not involve supervision of junior staff. The successful candidate will need a solid understanding of leasehold management in order to work effectively across the portfolio, alongside guidance, priorities and direction from senior members of the business.

Key Responsibilities

● Research and develop commercial income opportunities across the portfolio (parking, storage, telecoms, energy, advertising and related facilities).

● Build relationships with potential commercial customers and negotiate opportunities on behalf of the business.

● Work closely with senior members of the business, taking guidance and direction on priorities.

● Understand and apply knowledge of leasehold management across the portfolio.

● Support with Asset Management Team

● Attend the North London office on a fortnightly basis, with the remainder of time spent travelling across England.

Requirements / Background

● 5+ years' relevant experience in property / real estate.

● Must have own car and be prepared to travel around England two to four days a week.

● Sound understanding of leasehold management is essential.

● Knowledge of property law and experience working on property contracts and leases is a strong advantage.

● Energetic, self-motivated, able to work with little supervision, with strong communication skills.

● Training as a property surveyor is an advantage but not essential - PMR and the client prioritise skills and experience.
