Description

If you're a skilled plasterer who takes pride in quality work and enjoys the variety that multi-trade working brings, this could be a great fit. Our client is a well-established social housing provider operating across the South West, and they're looking for someone who genuinely cares about the service they deliver to residents.

About our client

They're a housing association with a dedicated repairs and maintenance function serving residents across the country. In the South West, their team delivers responsive repairs and improvement works to a significant residential portfolio, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and resident experience.

The role

Based in Cornwall, you'll join the South West repairs team as a Multi-Skilled Plasterer on a permanent, full-time basis (39 hours per week). The role covers responsive repairs and general multi-trade work across the patch, with participation in an out-of-hours callout rota that comes with an additional payment on top of your base salary.

What you'll be doing

  • Carrying out plastering works and responsive repairs to a high standard across a residential portfolio
  • Completing multi-trade tasks including basic plumbing, tiling, joinery, groundwork, and flooring installation
  • Treating and removing damp and mould in line with health and safety guidelines
  • Managing your own workload, scheduling, and on-site records with minimal supervision
  • Delivering a consistently high standard of service directly to residents in their homes
  • Participating in the out-of-hours callout rota on a scheduled basis

Skills and experience

Essential

  • NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds) or equivalent recognised trade qualification in plastering
  • Demonstrable multi-trade capability across plumbing, tiling, joinery, groundwork, or flooring
  • Experience working in a customer-facing environment, ideally within social housing
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and manage your time effectively

Desirable

  • Previous experience with damp and mould treatment
  • Familiarity with social housing repair systems or similar job management platforms

Why join them

You'll get a company van and tools provided, a competitive salary of £38,090, and the support of a well-resourced national organisation. There's a genuine commitment to employee wellbeing, with a benefits package that covers pension, health support, and more.
