We are recruiting for a Cleaning Operative to join their team at a prestigious residential development in North London. This is a permanent, full time role offering stability, a great team environment and the chance to take real pride in maintaining an exceptional living environment for residents.

Location: North London Salary: £26,438.28 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week, Wednesday to Sunday, 8am - 4pm
Contract: Permanent
The Role
As Cleaning Operative you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across all areas of the development from apartments and communal spaces through to stairwells, lifts and external areas. You'll work as part of a close knit team, taking real ownership of your area and ensuring residents always come home to a clean, welcoming environment.
You'll be operating a range of professional cleaning machinery (full training provided), completing daily records, reporting maintenance issues and playing an active part in the team's day to day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and maintaining all communal areas including corridors, stairwells, lifts, lobbies and external spaces to a consistently high standard
- Carrying out bi-weekly apartment refreshes
- Operating professional cleaning machinery including scrubber dryers, rotary scrubbers, pressure washers and vacuum machines full training provided
- Maintaining sanitary areas and replenishing supplies as required
- Safely disposing of waste and sharps in line with policy and adhering to the property's sustainability and recycling procedures
- Reporting any maintenance defects or issues to the Team Leader promptly
- Completing daily records and forms to support the work carried out
- Following all health and safety procedures including COSHH, PPE and manual handling policies at all times
- Delivering a professional, friendly and welcoming experience to residents and visitors every day
What We Are Looking For
- 1 to 3 years of proven cleaning experience, ideally in a residential, hospitality or commercial environment
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, their storage and safe disposal
- Excellent customer care skills - you'll be working in a live residential building every day
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own workload without constant supervision
- A flexible, supportive team player with a positive attitude
- Smart, well-presented appearance in line with uniform standards
