RESPONSIVE REPAIRS PLANNER -
THE OPPORTUNITY
We're working exclusively with a leading UK housing and property organisation to recruit a temporary Area Planner based at their Exeter office. This is a high-impact coordination role that sits at the heart of a busy operational team you'll be the engine behind efficient scheduling, ensuring the right operative gets to the right job at the right time.

This would be an initial fixed term contract for 4 months.
THE ROLE
- Plan and manage regional operatives' diaries to meet performance targets and KPIs
- Schedule maintenance repairs to match operational needs and customer appointments
- Maintain the scheduling system and keep internal and external stakeholders accurately informed
- Liaise with customer service teams on appointments, updates, and issue resolution
- Handle written, electronic, and telephone enquiries within agreed service standards
- Collaborate with the commercial team on subcontractor purchase orders and variation orders
- Ensure full compliance with GDPR when handling customer data
- Follow safeguarding procedures and escalate concerns appropriately
THE PERSON
Essential:
- Experience in a customer focused environment
- Comfortable working to performance targets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Methodical, accurate, and process driven approach
- Confident user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
- Experience with databases
- Evidence of competency in a relevant trade
Desirable:
- Experience with large volume data processing
- Previous scheduling or planning experience
- Familiarity with subcontractor management
- Strong organisation and time management
- Experience with invoices or accounts
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent A-levels
- Microsoft or business intelligence certification
