Central London (W1)
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (30-minute lunch)
£26,000 - £28,000 DOE

We are seeking a professional and personable Receptionist to join a well-presented mixed-use building in Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being the face of a building and takes pride in delivering exceptional front-of-house service.

The building comprises medical clinic spaces alongside a small number of residential apartments, creating a varied and engaging working environment.

The Role

As Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, clinicians, residents and contractors. You will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the front desk while providing administrative support and maintaining a welcoming, professional atmosphere at all times.

This role would suit someone calm, organised and proactive, who can confidently manage multiple tasks while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming visitors and notifying relevant parties of their arrival

  • Managing appointment arrivals and departures

  • Answering and screening phone calls

  • Maintaining and updating calendars and meeting schedules

  • Sorting post and arranging couriers

  • Coordinating contractor visits and liaising with facilities management

  • Monitoring building communications and announcements

  • Maintaining security procedures and controlling access

  • Ensuring the reception area remains tidy and presentable

  • Providing a brief weekly handover/report on building activity

  • Supporting with general administrative tasks including travel arrangements when required

About You

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a reception or administrative role (graduates also considered)

  • Strong customer service skills and a professional, approachable manner

  • Calm and efficient under pressure

  • PC literate with good Microsoft Office knowledge

  • Flexible, reliable and a strong team player

  • Able to work independently and use initiative

  • Good attendance record

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
