Our client is seeking an experienced Live-in Building Manager to oversee the running of a residential building based in East London.
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5pm
Accommodation: 1 Bedroom Apartment
The Role
- Managing and supporting site-based staff.
- Conduct regular inspections of communal areas, ensuring cleanliness, functionality, and safety.
- Manage contractors, approve and assess maintenance work, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Coordinate planned maintenance, ensuring timely execution to required standards.
- Manage stock levels for day-to-day items and facilitate meter readings for communal utilities.
- Oversee/conduct system tests, including emergency lighting, fire alarms, and lift emergency lines.
- Lead, mentor, and support on-site staff, ensuring they have the tools and training to excel.
- Manage staff rotas, holidays, and appraisals to maximise team efficiency.
- Monitor parking compliance and address related issues.
- Provide input for budgets, residents' meetings, and communication with directors.
- Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance, including contractor management.
- Overseeing the remainder of the mobilisation.
- Ensuring communal areas are impeccably maintained and presented.
- Delivering outstanding customer service to residents and visitors.
Experience:
- Preferably have at least 5 years' experience at facilities / building manager level, within a
similar role. - Proven experience leading a development through the mobilisation process.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring and developing teams.
- Contractor management expertise, including assessing and approving works.
- Either be working towards or hold an IWFM, TPI or other equivalent property/facilities management based qualification.
