As a Fire Door Inspector, you'll carry out visual inspections of fire doors across a range of residential properties, ensuring they meet current safety standards and regulations.
You'll identify and report any issues, liaise with clients, and maintain accurate digital inspection records.Key Responsibilities:
Carry out visual-only fire door inspections in line with UK standards
Check door frames, leafs, hinges, vision panels, seals, signage, and self-closers
Identify and report any damage, defects, or non-compliance
Record findings using inspection checklists or digital software
Liaise with clients and provide clear recommendations
Ensure all inspections align with FDIS or equivalent standards
About You
You're detail-focused, organised, and confident working independently. With experience in fire safety, property maintenance, or facilities management, you take pride in ensuring safety and compliance.
Skills & Experience:
FDIS CertFDI, BRE/LPCB, or equivalent (or willing to train)
Understanding of fire door standards and compliance
Comfortable using mobile inspection tools and apps
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
Knowledge of BS 9999, BS 8214, and RRO 2005 is beneficial
Additional Information
Site-based role with regular travel across the UK
Inspections cover communal areas, risers, stairwells, and corridors
Must comply with Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022
Salary Details: £32,000 per annum
