- Description
We're working with a prestigious residential block situated in the heart of the West End, looking to appoint an experienced Estate Manager to oversee the daily operations of the block. You will confidently manage the on-site teams, ensuring that all services and activities are carried out efficiently, and meeting the standards and requirements of the company and its residents.
Hours: Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE
Duties
- Be the first point of contact for residents, liaising with them on a day-to-day basis and ensuring that issues which are raised are addressed expeditiously and with courtesy
- Arrange contractors to attend in accordance with any works to be carried out on the block and oversee them to ensure tasks are carried out efficiently and to the correct standard.
- Keep residents informed, and prepare and circulate clear and timely explanations of what is going on in the building
- Manage day-to-day concerns and complaints
- Respond to emergency calls from residents and take appropriate action
- Lead, manage, motivate and organise the on-site staff to ensure the highest standards of customer service - both those who are employed directly and those who work on a contract basis, including:
- Dealing with administrative matters relating to the management of staff, including staff rotas, timesheets, holiday arrangements and cover for absence
- Preparing job descriptions and establishing standards of performance
- Inspect the whole building, both internally and externally (including the roof area) at least once a week to identify the need for remedial or corrective measures or procedures and ensure that appropriate action is taken expeditiously
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and requirements, including assessment of training needs, maintenance of log books, accident reporting procedures, compliance with IOSH COSHH regulations and contractor permit to work procedures
Experience
- 3-5 years experience within residential management
- 3+ years experience in management role and great leadership skills
- A good working knowledge of healthy & safety legislations - COSHH or IOSH qualified
