I am representing an award-winning, boutique advisory in the build to rent sector. Due to an influx of new instructions, we are hiring a BTR Analyst to join the team. Our client works with the leading investors and developers in the space, and they aim to become an extension of their clients' team, by immersing themselves in every project to deliver tailored advice.

The successful candidate will be a real estate Analyst, and a strong modeller.

Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Interpretation:

  • Assist in collecting, cleansing, and analysing property-related data from various sources, such as financial statements, leasing data, operational reports, and market trends.
  • Help identify patterns, trends, and anomalies to support data-driven insights and recommendations for property performance enhancement.
  • Collaborate with management to utilise statistical methods and predictive models to assess property performance and identify potential risks.

Reporting and Presentation:

  • Support the preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly client reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of dashboards and visualisations to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and property metrics.

Asset Performance Evaluation:

  • Support the evaluation of the financial performance of properties, including basic cash flow analysis, return on investment, and net operating income assessments.
  • Assist in conducting basic comparative analysis of properties to assess their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for improving underperforming assets.

Market Research and Intelligence:

  • Assist in conducting market research to understand current real estate trends, demographic shifts, and competitor activities.
  • Help monitor market dynamics to contribute insights on potential investment opportunities or risks.

Data Management and Quality Assurance:

  • Assist in maintaining data accuracy, integrity, and completeness by following effective data management and quality assurance practices.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Interest in real estate and property management with a willingness to learn about performance metrics, leasing models, and financial analysis.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members and present findings.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel (essential), SQL, R, Python, or other relevant software is a plus (desirable).
  • Exposure to data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) would be beneficial.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage tasks effectively
