PMR are working with a relatively new management company in the PBSA industry, who are passionate about students and property is in their DNA to recruit a Head of Finance.

This is a hybrid role, working from the head office in Leicester and home.Our client is constantly striving to better their service to students and staff. This is an exciting time for them, and we are looking for like-minded, enthusiastic people to join in their mission to better the PBSA model and to become the leaders of the Student Accommodation Industry.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee & support the co-ordination and review of new business and client presentation packs.
- Build, run and maintain financial models and lead on financial analysis to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Manage the development of financial controls and systems within the client finance department.
- Complete the month end process and all general client accounting activity.
- Allocating bank account transactions into relevant ledgers, including receipts, cheque payments, direct debit payments etc, including the analysis and reconciliation of remittances.
- Work with direct report to drive the efficiency and accuracy of the month end reporting cycle, ensuring that the system and processes are used to their full potential to deliver quality management reporting.
- Responsible for ensuring that all companies within the structure which require audit have one completed in the required timescale, liaising with auditors, clients, and Group Accountant to manage it efficiently.
- Preparing submissions for quarterly SLT packs with relevant and detailed information.
- Oversee the execution of period-end accounting entries by posting manual journal entries and processing recharges.
- Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.

Experience and Knowledge:

- Finance qualification.
- Relevant experience in a business or finance environment.
- Management experience.
- Research & analytical skills.

- Experience of developing a continuous improvement culture and to have an impact on the way things are done.
- Resilience and adaptability, as well as a great cultural diversity awareness.
Desirable:
- Experience working in the PBSA industry.
- Comprehensive experience working with Xero.
