PMR are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Resident Host to join a bubbly and resident-focused team at a Build to Rent development in Barking, East London.
This role will involve welcoming residents as they arrive and depart the development, as well as, dealing with all day-to-day enquiries from maintenance issues to parcel deliveries and everything in between. Delivering exceptional customer service at all times is key!
Responsibilities:
- Actively engage with residents to build long term relationships and be an active participant within the community
- Assisting with the organisation and running of resident events both within the buildings and the wider community.
- To provide superior on-brand customer service and communication to residents and all stakeholder at all times
- Hosting the communal reception and workspace as part of the front of house team, welcoming everyone as they arrive and depart the development
- Being the first voice for telephone enquiries, either assisting directly or directing the call as appropriate
- Ensuring that all ground floor communal spaces are maintained to agreed standards and coordinating additional servicing of these areas as and when required
- Assisting with apartment tours during busy periods and arranging access with residents
- Receiving repair notifications from residents and arranging works with internal or external contractors as appropriate using the CRM system
- Maintaining an adequate inventory of move in packs ready for residents and distributing packs as required.
- Receiving and distributing parcels and secure mail to residents via the CRM system
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and best practice paying particular attention to the health and safety of staff, contractors and residents and to maintain appropriate records.
- Assist in the co-ordination of the building emergency procedures including fire safety protocols
- Be one of the onsite first-aid team, training will be given if not already qualified.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Minimum two years in a frontline customer service role within a hospitality, retail or property sector.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills - a second language would be advantageous
- An open, engaging and warm personality.
- Passionate about working in a service environment.
- Excellent communicator with an ability to use the right tone and approach for the right situation.
- Excellent personal presentation and organizational skills.
- Flexible in approach and able to take control of situations as required.
- Organized and structured in managing tasks.
- Positive and has a natural enthusiasm.
- Direct and assertive whilst maintaining a professional approach.
- Practical approach to problem solving.
