Description

We are working with a luxury residential block situated in NW8, seeking an experienced House Manager to join the team and oversee the day to day runnings on site. This is a live-in position which comes with a 2 bedroom flat, the House Manager has 4 direct reports and would report directly to the Property Manager.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm (must be available for out-of-hours emergencies)

Salary: £25,000 per annum, with potential to rise to £27,000 after successful probation

Core Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for the day to day running of the block, including the maintenance of security, staff supervision, building services, repairs and maintenance, and general attention to residents' needs in accordance with the terms of the flat leases.
  • To be the first point of contact in resolving resident and visitor problems, complaints and difficulties, with the aim of achieving the highest possible level of service utilising the porters and other staff employed. At all times to be willing to assist residents and to effect an adequate liaison between residents, the managing agents and the directors of the Management Company.
  • To ensure all internal and external communal areas are cleaned and maintained to a high standard including supervision of the cleaning contractors, the gardening contractors and garden areas.
  • To order, control, and issue cleaning materials, refuse sacks etc. to staff as required.
  • Arranging regular inspections of all main and rear entrances and exit routes from all parts of the buildings to ensure they are adequately marked and free of obstruction and trip hazards.
  • To ensure all staff are adequately protected with appropriate safety gear suitable for their intended tasks.
  • Visitors must be identified and the visiting resident contacted for consent to enter before allowing access.
  • Keys must only be issued in accordance with residents' instructions and a key logging system be adequately maintained.
  • Parcels should only be accepted where it is known that the resident is in occupation. Parcel receipting by staff should always be marked "unchecked and without liability". A parcel logging system for delivery/collection by residents should be adequately maintained.
