Our client is currently seeking a maintenance operative at their site in East London.
Shift Pattern:
Monday - FridayHours:
08:00am - 16:00pmSalary:
£21,900 per annumDetails:
- Must be polite and courteous at all times. To wear uniform provided and be clean and tidy in appearance.
- Co-ordinate, instruct and allow access for services to the estate, such as refuse collection, contractors and maintenance, utility companies, etc.
- Ensure removal of illegally stored items in and around the site.
- Be prepared to attend site in the event of an emergency, outside working hours, as required.
- Regularly walk around the site and maintain tidy appearance, check external/internal lighting etc.
- Maintain an inventory of onsite equipment and ensure the maintenance Office and storage facilities are tidy, well maintained and secure.
- All unknown visitors/contractors are to be politely challenged on site, asked whom they are visiting, and given appropriate directions.
- Sweep/blow all hard surfaces including footpaths, steps and stairwells, and all car-parking areas, leave free from dirt/rubbish daily.
- Be available to attend to minor maintenance, repairs.
- Change light bulbs as necessary in all common parts and reporting faults and equipment failures to Management.
- To maintain an appropriate stock of replacement lamps giving notice of requirements when stock needs replenishing.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order giving notice when repairs/renewals are necessary.
- Ensure refuse bins are organised for collection on the appropriate days.
- Record landlords utility meter readings on a monthly basis, and advise Development Manager.
- To check once a month all drain covers around the park and report back to maintenance any broken drains.
- To clean once a month all small light bollards, coach lights and tub lights.
- To carry out monthly emergency light test.
- To test the lift lines once a week and any problems reported to Management.
- Be prepared to carry out minor painting, decorating and repairs.
- Litter picking.
- Any additional tasks requested by management, including further training.
- Keep a monthly action report for each of the block you are servicing/responsible and liaising with Management on action points.
- Use of the site buggy which is to be done with due care and consideration.
WINTER JOBS
- Removal of leaves in underground car parks.
- To keep entrance doors free of leaves.
- Clear ice and snow as requested.
- Maintain and clean external lighting.
SPRING/SUMMER JOBS
- To paint all bin stores one a year.
- To paint small light bollards one a year.
- To paint wooden railing one a year.
- To wash down any gates, railings, signs and pagodas.
