Description

Our Client is looking for a Live in Head Porter to work at a Luxury development in Westminster.

Salary: 22K-25K per annum

Additional benefits: Two bedroom flat with bills included.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30am - 4.30pm and one Saturday per month

Duties:

  • Emergency Procedures - Ascertain the type of emergency and call the necessary emergency services/contractors
  • Security - Prevent any unauthorised entries, suspected loitering. Deal with visitors to the building and ensure that porters are aware of all entries.
  • Ensure that keys held at reception are given to authorised persons only.
  • Care of the Building - Ensure that any works taking place in the building are authorised.
  • Protect the building during works being carried out.
  • Notify the managing agents of any works that need to be carried out in the building.
  • As a resident Head Porter, you will be expected to deal with any incidents that may arise when you are not on duty such as water leaks or other emergencies.
  • You will need to notify the management office of any unauthorised subletting in the building.
  • Dealing with Tenants - Deal with residents' complaints, any disturbances by tenants or tenants contravening the terms of the lease and report to the managing agents.
  • Health and Safety at work - You will be supplied with a Health and Safety Manual which you need to comply with at all times.
  • Staff supervision - You will be responsible for the conduct of all your staff, arranging rotas, temporary staff etc.
  • Keep comprehensive records and reports
  • Cleanliness and other duties - You will have the entire responsibility for the cleanliness of the building. Record all inspections in the requisite forms and send them to the managing agents. Inspect the building daily, including the roof areas. Inspect the boiler room 3 times daily and report to the management office any issues.
  • Be visible in the building. You will be expected to cover normal porterage duties, such as being present at the front desk, from time to time. Especially during lunch time breaks and holiday cover.
  • Assist the management office with obtaining remedial quotations for works to be carried out.
  • Communicate with the management office via Email, telephone and messaging applications such as WhatsApp. The candidate would therefore need to have good computer literacy. The candidate will be asked to take and send photographs to the management office regularly.

  • Self-motivated with strong organisational skills.
  • Experience in managing a team.
  • Ability to take ownership of an operation when alone.
  • Professional, precise, courteous, and dedicated.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Team player.

Career Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • At least 2 year's experience in a front of house role in a luxury residential environment.
  • Management experience.
  • Excellent and proven Customer Services experience.
  • IOSH qualification preferred.
