- Description
Our client is seeking a Resident Porter at a luxury residential building based in North West London.
Hours of work:
Monday - Friday (08:00 - 18:00)Salary:
£22,000 £24,000 - This position comes with a 2 bedroom flat.
Main duties:
- To supervise the cleaning staff as necessary and to be available to supply a backup service as and when required out of the cleaners' normal working hours: i.e. dirty footmarks, etc. Left by residents' builders or removal men.
- Distribute letters, parcels, newspapers, etc. to residents promptly after receipt in the building.
- If a resident is not in to receive a parcel, and the parcel is too large to fit through the letterbox, a note must be left with the flat and the parcel locked away in the porter's cupboard.
- Immediately notify the Police and give notice to the Managing Agents of any occurrence which seems suspicious.
- To deal with emergencies in the most efficient manner. To report all emergencies immediately to the Managing Agent.
- To keep a diary of service calls, change of occupancy, breakdowns, etc. and telephone calls concerning the premises and residents. A regular report should be given to the Managing Agents.
- Any breakdown of plant should be immediately reported to the Managing Agent. In the event of such failures occurring outside normal working hours the Duty Porter should contact the relevant service engineers and advise the Managing Agent as soon as possible thereafter.
- To be sufficiently acquainted with the lift and fire alarm mechanisms to be able to deal with emergencies.
- To carry out regular litter patrol at the front and rear of the building and the garden areas.
- To replace light bulbs as necessary and report any failure of sensors or emergency lights immediately to the Managing Agent.
- To supervise the moving in or out of furniture etc. from flats to ensure no damage is caused to the decorations of the common parts.
The person:
- Previous work in 4/5* hotels or luxury residential building.
- High attention to detail.
- Smart presentation.
- Well spoken English.
