Description

Our Client is looking for an experienced Caretaker to work at a Luxury Development in Hertfordshire.

Main Duties:

  • Cleaning the building or supervising a team of Cleaners.
  • Manage bookings and cleanliness for the business suite.
  • Gardening and performing landscape duties or supervising others in these roles.
  • Inspecting the building, including heating, cooling, lighting and alarm systems to make sure they are in good working order.
  • Performing basic repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
  • Sourcing, booking and supervising contractors for major repairs.
  • Monitoring cleaning materials, tools, and furniture and reordering as required.
  • Opening building at the start of the day and locking all doors and windows when not in operation.
  • Adhering to the company's safety policies to create a safe working environment for everyone.
  • Ensure that all external areas of the Development are kept clear, safe, clean and free of litter.
  • Carry out meter readings as requested.
  • Ensure that all communal stores are maintained in a clean and tidy state, and loose items are placed in bins.
  • Monitor the use and storage of all janitorial and cleaning materials in use at the development, and order new stocks as required.
  • Be fully conversant with the location of stop cocks, gas and electricity cut-off switches relating to communal areas and blocks, and contact numbers for utility emergency reporting.
  • Whilst on duty you should be of tidy appearance, wearing the uniform and identification badge provided.
  • Be willing to attend any training courses such as Health & Safety awareness.
  • Proactively create a planned maintenance schedule on a month-month basis.
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures for site.

Communication:

  • Ensure clear communication is maintained with all stakeholders and the required management personnel are informed of any incidents in a timely manner, via the agreed channels.
  • Communicate and present information in a clear, organised manner, both verbally and where relevant, in writing
  • Communicate and share information with the team through frequent open and two-way communication.
  • This is to include relevant company policies, goals, changes and successes in the business.
  • Check, read and action emails in a timely manner.
  • Liaise and communicate with team members at Head Office in a clear and timely manner to ensure optimal service delivery.
