We are currently recruiting for a Porter role in Barnes, London SW13
The position is a Monday-Friday 8am - 2pm role and we are looking for is someone with a wide skill set and the ability to carry out maintenance works as well as being conscientious and personable are key factors.
Salary range will be £18500-22500 depending on skills and experience.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
1. RUBBISH
- Take rubbish bags from outside apartment doors and place in bins each morning
- Coordinate with Council to ensure changes in rubbish collection times are adhered to
- Deliver new (recycled) rubbish bags through apartment doors as required
- Keep bin store clean and tidy and report any misuse2. CLEANING (inside communal parts)
- Review/quality check the cleaners work
- Remove junk mail, leaves and rubbish every day
- Check and replace light bulbs as required
- Clean light fittings (including inside of fitting) when bulbs are changed
- Apply suitable lubricant to door locks, handles and hinges as required3. CLEANING outside & communal parts
- Mop down and sweep front steps and keep front area clean and tidy
- Remove bits of rubbish debris from outside building
- Keep rear and front areas swept and clean and tidy at all times
- Keep basement area clean and tidy at all times
- Monitor roof for wear and tear, and general safety4. Deliveries
- Be available each week day to between 8.00a.m. - 2.00 p.m. to take deliveries/let in contractors etc as arranged by the Property Manager
- To be main point of contact for contractors
- Liaise with the postman to assist with access to the blocks as required5. Security
- Be vigilant and ensure front doors are secured and when contractors are on the property ensure they close and lock windows and doors behind them
- Keep a watch out for any breaches of security and report these asap to the Property Manager
- Check window and door locks and closers daily
- Monitor CCTV system as necessary and report any incidents
- Check that CCTV system is operating correctly at least once per week6. Office
- Ensure office is kept clean and tidy and that visiting contractors can find keys.7. Circulars
- To clear out circulars/junk mail daily from hall areas and put any post that is left in the hall area through appropriate apartment doors8. Log Book
- To maintain a written record of all incidents on site including any Health and Safety issues or accidents
- Keep the log of garage and locker owners updated9. Maintenance
- To proactively inspect the building daily for any repairs and take appropriate action or report to Managing Agent
- To undertake maintenance tasks such as minor repairs to fixtures and fittings, painting/touching up of the décor in the common parts, clearing roof gulleys, guttering, watering the gardens/planters, and the like as directed
