Resident Porter

Overview:
General supervision of the estate and of any contractors full or part time engaged on the premises. Dealing with resident's requests and complaints. All assistance to residents should be treated in a helpful, courteous and polite manner. The Resident Porter is the main contact of the development and should make time to get to know all residents and gain their confidence. Also when requesting that all excess noise and other disturbances or annoyances are abated but at all times, to be helpful.

Daily duties include:-
1. To be on duty from 8am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 12pm on Saturday's. And additional normal hours as may be necessary to fulfil the duties set out herewith in the capacity as Resident Porter.
2. To patrolling the whole estate not less than twice per day, once at night being alert at all times for signs of intruders and burglaries. Adjusting windows and doors as necessary.
3. Being consistently vigilant and aware of security including properly operating the video surveillance system.
4. Ensure all plant rooms, electrical areas and other hazards areas i.e roof access are secure.
5. The keeping of daily log
6. Keeping the common parts clean and respectable at all times.
7. Check lift is clean and working.
8. Check operation of door entry system and automated gates.
9. Replacing defective light bulbs and tubes in the common parts were possible and report faults to the managing agents.
10. Ensure no obstructions in the entrance halls or items stored in the common parts
