- Description
Fancy running your own building? This is a chance to take full ownership of a residential community in Ashford, Kent. You'd have real autonomy, a Monday to Friday routine, and the backing of one of the biggest names in rental housing.
About our client
Our client is one of the world's largest residential rental operators, managing thousands of homes across the UK and internationally. They care about creating communities where residents feel looked after, and they have the structure, systems and support of a major business behind every site.
The role
As Community Manager, you'll be the face of the building and the only member of staff on site. That means you own the day to day: residents, performance and how the place feels to live in. You'll work alongside an on-site facilities manager who looks after maintenance and an external leasing partner who handles lettings, with support from a regional operations manager. It's Monday to Friday, daytime hours.
What you'll be doing
- Building a welcoming community and handling resident queries, requests and complaints
- Managing the site budget, forecasting and P&L, and reporting performance to stakeholders
- Working with the leasing partner and marketing team to hit occupancy and revenue targets
- Overseeing tenancy management, including inspections, arrears and charges
- Partnering with the facilities manager on planned and reactive maintenance
- Keeping the building safe, compliant and well presented through regular walkarounds
Skills and experience
Essential
- Experience managing a residential property, build to rent, student accommodation or hospitality operation
- Confidence working independently as the lead on site
- Commercial awareness, including budgets, occupancy and revenue
- A genuine focus on customer or resident service
Desirable
- Knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation
- IOSH or NEBOSH training
- Experience with property management software
